Description of the Esme Blouse:

A high-necked, Victorian-inspired blouse, to add a touch of romance to your image. Gathered sleeves, a stand collar and flouncing frills: the basic blueprint for a classic ruffled blouse. Esme is a loose fitting straight-cut blouse that features a stand collar, button-front fastening with button rouleau loops. The Esme blouse has V-shaped yoke. The voluminous semi-raglan sleeves are gathered at the cap and bottom, and have cuffs with rouleau loop button fastening. The stand collar, V-shape yoke and cuffs are trimmed with narrow double ruffles. The Esme blouse is hip-length.

There are two views included in this pattern: View A has long sleeves; View B has 3/4 sleeves.

Fabric Recommendations:

To sew the Esme blouse, choose fabrics with the following properties:
- Light-weight, structured, breathable;
- The fabric content can include natural (cotton, linen, wool), artificial (viscose), blends (linen + cotton, cotton + viscose, wool+cotton, etc.), and synthetic fibers (polyester);
- The following fabrics are recommended: shirting, dress weight cotton, linen, poplin.
The sample is made from light-weight cotton.

Before starting the project choose your size by taking measurements.

BUST - Place the tape around the fullest part of the bust. Wrap it around (under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and back to the front) to get the measurement. Make sure the tape is placed horizontally across the back and under the arms.
WAIST– Place a tape around the natural waistline. Measure the circumference of your waist, which is located above your belly button and below your rib cage.

HIPS - Measure the fullest part of the hips from behind. Make sure that the tape is placed horizontally around the body and does not drop down on one side.

Find the right size using this size charts for height about 5'6" (168 cm):
